Monster

Set in the late Ming Dynasty, the story follows three close friends from the Imperial Guard: Qi Feng, Yang Shiyi, and Yun Xiaotian. They assist the people along the upper reaches of the Yellow River by eliminating a water monster that has plagued the area for years. In doing so, they uncover and dismantle a feudal superstitious scam led by the so-called "Goddess of the Yellow River," ultimately bringing peace and prosperity to the local inhabitants.
